I'm an amateur photographer living in Golden Colorado with my wife, my stepson, a Chihuahua and a cat. After a 40+ year career in insurance which included stops in Boston, Chicago, Dallas, St. Louis, and Minneapolis, we semi-retired in the foothills. Golden is most famous for being the home of Coors beer.
As a boy I owned two Canon AE-1 35mm film cameras. Only a handful of those images have survived multiple moves and a flooded basement, but what survived intact was my love of photography.
Still photography freezes time. Unlike video, which goes past us at life speed, still images command deeper study. We look; we see; we feel; we connect. The moments captured are henceforth sacrosanct. Such are my images of Chili, our beloved Chihuahua, who left us in April 2018 at the age of 16. He will forever own a special spot in our hearts. If there is a heaven, surely he is waiting there with lots of warm Chihuahua kisses for us.
These days most of my photography involves the Golden High School Demons. My goal is to shoot as many sports as I can, and to include the players who didn't make the starting lineup. My Flickr account (https://www.flickr.com/photos/gowaydotbiz/albums) includes more than 2,000 Golden Demons images.
My goal for this web site is to feature a few of what I believe to be my best images from a variety of genres including sports, birds and dogs, flowers, and even young lovers in London.
All of my photography is on-line under a copyright scheme known as "Attribution-NonCommercial Creative Commons" which basically means that anyone can enjoy, download, and print the images for their personal use, but any publication should include attribution ("photo by Bill Way - BillWayToday@gmail.com") and any commercial use requires my permission in advance.
